All About Ms. Lyanne

Hello!

 

I’m Ms. Lyanne and I have been teaching at Alice King Community School since 2012.  I am so excited to be part of your student's growth and development this year! I was born into a family of educators who instilled in me the love of learning and teaching. I received both my Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from the University of New Mexico. I am dual licensed in Elementary Education and Special Education with a Concentration in Learning Disabilities and an Endorsement in Reading.  I have led and coordinated our AKCS MLSS/ Student Assistance Team (SAT) for numerous years.  I am so fortunate to have gotten to know so many AKCS students and families through this team.  I use many different teaching styles in my instruction to reach all types of learners.  I strive to create an open and welcoming classroom environment so that every child is able to grow during their time in 2/3! 

 

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three boys and baby girl. We enjoy spending time together cooking, camping, fishing and watching basketball games! I also love baking, reading, and making puzzles! I am very excited to partner with you this year to ensure your child's academic success!
