Ms. Meisha's Bio

I grew up in Deming, New Mexico, where I remember loving school and extracurricular activities being the center of community life. I am Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) certified and have a Reading endorsement. I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education at the University of New Mexico and earned a Master’s in Human Behavior from National University. This is my twenty-third year of teaching and I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and K-3 reading intervention. I am the mother of two wonderful children who make me proud every day. I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am passionate about kids enjoying and taking pride in their learning. School should be a positive place where we celebrate successes and encourage one another through our failures.
