AKCS is a SPOTLIGHT school!!
The New Mexico Public Education Department recently reviewed the 2023-2024 assessment data for all districts and schools due to a multitude of appeals they received regarding the data quality. Many schools across New Mexico received a change to their school designation as a result of the revised accountability calculations. There are 6 school designations (listed in order from top-performing to schools in need of most support):

TSI (Targeted Support and Improvement)
ATSI (Additional Targeted Support and Improvement)
CSI (Comprehensive Support and Improvement)
CSI-MRI (Comprehensive Support and Improvement- More Rigorous Interventions)
The New Mexico Vistas website has been updated and AKCS's previous designation of "Traditional" has been upgraded to a new school designation of "Spotlight"!
